Car Hire Tianjin Binhai International Airport
Tianjin Binhai International Airport is about 15 kilometers from the city center which makes car hire a necessity. You cannot walk all the distance unless you are on an athletics mission. This airport has just a single terminal while the departure hall is situated at the second floor and arrival hall on the first floor. There are both international and domestic flights that operate from the airport. As an international visitor, you will need to get out of the airport to the city center and possibly your booked hotel. Shuttle buses are the main mode of transport from the airport to the city center and other cities.
- Tianjin Shuttle Bus - there is buses to get at the departure hall to the left side. It will cost you RMB 10 from the airport to downtown. Consider widely because several bus lines are available at the airport. These buses have two main stops at Tianjin Road and Tianjin Railway Station and they operate from very early in the morning to late in the night.
- Tanggu Shuttle Bus - these buses are located at the first floor of the arrival hall. There is a special station set up and buses are available throughout to take you to Tanggu. Many of these buses operate on hourly basis so not every time you will get them in operation.
- Beijing Shuttle Bus - from Tianjin Binhai International Airport, you can have direct access to Beijing using shuttle buses. They are at the arrival hall and have schedules of up to 5 times in a day. Their regular trips end at Bawangfen in Beijing.
Taxis are also there to complement what these shuttle buses offer. Airport taxis are very reliable but are only good for commuting between Tianjin Binhai International Airport and city center. They are not designed for long distances. Passengers who prefer using taxis have either a lot of luggage to carry or the shuttle buses don’t pass near the hotels they have booked into. The main advantage of hiring a taxi is time saving and very comfy transfers. A taxi can cost you 60 Yuan but there is room for negotiation.
